Hi there,

I recorded this on Sunday as part of a live Demo with one of the bands I play in 'Mo'Rockan Soul'

Its my Red Hard Tail Axis into my Engl 1x12" Combo. The only effect is a Boss Delay in the 2nd solo.

What do you all you all think of the tone? I was very pleased with it, even though this is a 1st mix.

When the rest of the demo is mixed down, I will post the rest of the links.

Tim.I Believe in a thing called love demo AXIS HARD TAIL!

Tim,

great tone and nice quality recording...enjoyed it so much I turned on the Cornford, plugged in my Axis and joined in with you guys!

It was also interesting to hear the difference in the amp tones even after I tweaked the gain and eq to be in the same tonal areas. Tube amps, you cant beat them for character!!

Keep up the good work and get a gig up here in Oxford! ;)

Hey Tim O'

The link won't open for me.
Also tried to open some of your demos on your webpage and won't open for me as well.

Is that you playing the Peavey as well ?

Just tried the links and they seem to work for me. How odd?!

If you can take 6mb or so I can email the files to you? Email me off list [email protected].

And yes thats me with the Peavey. (sorry EBMM people) There is a load of new pictures of me playing it and my other axes in this gallery http://www.slidejules.com/caesarsrants/gallery.cfm .

This Wolfgang has been EBMM'd thanks to Axis pickups (thanks ebay!) and cream knobs and toggle. Sounds like the Axis, less twang and clarity but more beef to the sound, if that makes sense!

The 2nd guitar is not me, its JJ. Its a custom made strat with Kinmans and a Fishman bridge. I think he is using the acoustic pickup on this song, then into his Peavey Special tranny amp. I can't take the credit for the song though! Its a more or less note for note cover of the original by 'Republica'

Pretty much stock yes! It has been re-fretted with Stewmac 149 wire, and has a new 3 way switch and jack socket due to general wear and tear. Other than that, its a stock Hard Tail. I have 3 axis's and this red one is the best sounding one of the lot.

Once again, incredible tone. Any other samples of the Axis tone? How about the sound samples on the website -- are any of those with the Axis?

That was very nice. A remix on the original with a country twang to the vocals I thought :). Nice variations on the solo parts too :) I'd love to hear more covers if you have any.
