Axis Top Question for BP or informed employee

A few years ago, you made a Spalted Maple top (I believe that was issued to Japan only??).

Is that going to be another limited run in the future?

i've read somewhere that splated maple is a very light wood and very fragile compare to plain,flamed or quilted maple

right or wrong ?

Spalted Maple, anyone?

I disagree with @radrock regarding the tone -- the spalted sounds fine on my Axis. It sounds very much like a standard Axis, maybe a tad brighter. But if you closed your eyes you wouldn't be able to tell the difference sonically from a standard Axis.

Dibart, your spalted maple is in my top 10 list for sure. So is the BFR roasted maple body. Very nice.
