Hi,

has anyone compared these 2 side by side ?

I played an Axis - really liked it, even the "feel" of the trem. But I was advised by some people not to get a trem guitar, because of the trouble setting it up etc.

So I started looking at the Axis Super Sport. Should be pretty much the same guitar - same wood, same pickups (the humbucker version) , same neck, just the different bridge( Axis - Floyd; Axis Super Sport - VintageTrem/string-thru)

To get some basic information I read the reviews on HC. The reviews on the Axis were pretty much what I experienced with the guitar - high output rock guitar.
The reviews on the Axis Super Sport were pretty different. Almost all of the reviewers were talking about a medium ouput guitar.
I didn´t have the chance to play a Axis Super Sport yet, but from these reviews, can these be almost the same guitar ?

Thanks!

We wanted to offer the Axis with some popular
options that players other than Floyd guys would appreciate. We decided the Axis SuperSport would be the guitar to have different bridge options with the addition of an added tone control and a five way switch.
The H-H version SuperSport is the same as the
Axis with the exception of the vintage style tremelo and tone control and 5 way switch. The output should be similar to the Axis w/Floyd although the tonal capabilities will vary. The MM-90 version(soapbar pickups) would be completely different in output and tone!
