Yea it would be perfect if Musicman made an Axis/JP hybrid! A 24 fret Axis neck on a JP body, that would be my dream axe....
Now what was I talking about?....

I think it's impossible to make that 'perfect' guitar that does everything you think you want. We all have multiple guitars even if we did happen to own that single guitar that was perfect for us. Still, you're going to want more :D
Personally, I love the difference in character between the entire EBMM lineup. Picking one up always inspires. I guess that's what I love about the variety. I find myself getting a less "writer's block" with the EBMM guitars because the feel, the sound, the look, etc., of each guitar keep me wanting to be creative OR focused. You can't replace a nice group of guitars to select from. I would hate to have to pick just one.

Well I think I finally made up my mind and I am going to get either the JP6 mystic dream or the red pearl burst, hmm the mystic dream is like $300 more though it does look very nice.
I think I will have more tonal options with the JP6 as opposed to the Axis, I play alot of metal but also play different styles occasionally. I guess if I really need to maybe I could get the Axis at a later date. I was told suppliers here are increasing the musicman range price this month, which I dont understand as I could still buy it cheaper in the states and get it shipped over to Australia...greedy suppliers.

Oh there was one other thing I forgot to mention, does anyone know why there is 2 inputs on the JP6?
I know its for the piezo but does that mean you need 2 guitar amps and 2 leads to use the piezo and normal pickups??

They are outputs ;) the JP 6 can work in several ways: on one output you will have both magnetics and piezzo when a mono cable is connected. On the other output, you will have only magnetic pickups when mono cable is connected. If you connect 2 mono cables at the same time in both outputs, you'll have on one the magnetics and on the other the piezzo. And finally if you connect a stereo cable into one of the outputs (don't remember which), you'll have on one side the magnetics and on the other side the piezzo.
