I'm new to the EB community and have only one ball but I plan to get some more...

Heres my Axis Tobacco Sunburst...

OMG killer top!!!

Its coil tapped with a push pull pot hence why I had to change the knob. Although I think the one I put on it suits the guitar much better now. Bridge now floats and I have Tremsetter installed to absorb the flutter when I pick hard.
Also has been in the hands of Paul Gilbert and Vinnie Moore.

the headstock on this is unfinished and doesn't have any lacquer either, is that a common thing? The lacquer i mean, most of the ones i have seen in the shops recently have lacquer.

I got another axis the other day so expect some more photos.

OMG That is one beautiful guitar. Did you order that one or was it already in stock. Just wondering if that is an upgraded top.

To answer your question, they only clear coat the headstock if it's painted(matching headstock). If it's a non matching headstock they leave it au natural.

That was way it came.
I ordered it through shop from their supplier.
Just phoned up they said they quoted colours they had in stock I took a stab in the dark on the tobacco sunburst. I wasn't sure what it would look like, just sounded nice. Had it over 3 years now.
