As some are aware, Jack and Erika are having a bash in November. I don't fly so a couple of us Tucsonans are planning on driving out. If there are other Arizonans that would like to hop aboard the Tragical Trystery Mour and minimize expenditures, please get in touch with me via PM or email on my profile page.

Hmmm true...must ponder this however given that I'll have to leave the folks alone at home that weekend I think I'd still better fly in and out and save a few road days.

Might I suggest that you AZ folks get NorM involved. Maybe he'll pick everyone up in his rocket-driven school bus!

What's the 'on the road' estimate? I may just join this rolling party

900 miles, somewhere around 13 hours.

Also, would be able to put people up in my apartment if they drive down the night before we leave.

If you want to spend less time on the road I will be happy to take the first driving shift. Two Liters of Diet Coke with Lime and I'll get you there in a hurry. I also spoke to my friend in Dallas and he said he could put some of us up for the night. I just told the squeeze about it today and she said "O.C."

And would "Fear and Loathing" be the same if they had flown to Vegas instead of driving the Shark? :p

Me thinks it would have been somewhat shorter... it would probably end with the plane crashing into the desert somewhere between barstow (sp) and where ever
