Well the G A S won me over again. Just got off the phone with Brandt at The Perfect Bass and ordered a B D S W 4. That would be a BLUE DAWN SECRET WEAPON 4. I have never even played a single H Bongo but have heard more than I could take from some of the forum "sages" about the secret weapon. So BP, Jack, Mobay, RockinRayDuke et.al, it's ALL YOUR FAULT;)

This makes me so proud that I could cry.

But I think I'll just get a sandwich.

Good work, man!

Nice. Sounds like a plan. I may end up with a black fretted bongo instead of a blue dawn fretless due to a trade that may happen.

Thanks guys, I am sure I will not be disappointed. Guitarist in my group says "you bought this without playing one just on other peoples word?".
Also says BP is just trying to sell more basses:eek:

My response was I already know the feel and overall tone being I already have a 4HH amd a 5HH. I'm not an excessive knob twiddler anyway and a 3 band eq is plenty for me. Fact is I have only seen dual PU Bongo's in stores. Then I told him BP has all kinds of ice cream for sale he just tells people what flavors taste really good (as many others in the know have the same opinion). Sure he wants to sell basses (needs shoes)
but I had to say I really don't think BP cares what flavor you buy. I have seen blue dawn pics from NAMM of the shiny sparkly new Sterling but hopefully a pic of a spankin' new Bongo will slip out here on the forum before too long;)

Great choice! If I get a blue dawn LE (and I really want one), it'll be a Bongo single H. The only thing that's keeping me from placing an order, aside from the fact that I'll have to sell my stealth Bongo HH to pay for it, is the tantalizing possibility of a BFR Bongo.

That would be cool, but you know you would need to sell that and much more to get one of those;)

Yeah, I know, but I have other stuff to sell if the desire is strong enough. If a BFR Bongo is priced like the BFR 20th Anniversary SR5 (which looks like it's worth every penny if you can afford it), I'm out of that race before it starts. However, I understand there will be more affordable (in relative terms, anyway) BFRs as well. I'm just interested to see what they come up with, and I hope to see one before the order window closes for the 2007 LE so I can make an informed decision. If there's no BFR Bongo by then, or if there is one but it's out of my range, I'll happily order a blue dawn single H Bongo just like yours.
