I know some of you first saw the title of this post and thought what is B.O.C. ?
Others may have said Blue Oyster Cult ?
I was listening to one of their albums, Fire of Unknown Origin. I haven't played their stuff in a loooooong time and thought wow Buck Dharma is an awesome player.

Every classic rock stations plays only 3 BOC hits : Godzilla, Reaper, and Burning For You but they have so much other stuff.

Their Earlier stuff is great too.

My fav album is Cultosaurus Erectus.

Anyone listen to them ?

Thoughts on Buck Dharma ?

anyone seen them in concert ?

Talk about purist Heavy Metal before Heavy Metal hit the 80's !

Edited : Crap I posted in wrong forum sry

That is ok, in my reply I will mention guitars and you should be good.

Buck plays Steinbergerheimer guitars, or whatever they are called (the "Headless Wonders").

Anyway, I think BOC is great. My brother got me their DVD for Christmas this year and it is pretty great. In the DVD they interivew a bunch of BOC fans before and after the show and from this comes the greatest advice I could give to anyone making a DVD that wants to include fan comments. Be sure to bring a breathalizer and check whom you interview before rolling the camera. Depending on the effect you desire, only show the sober ones or only show the drunk ones. There were some pretty interesting people in the BOC DVD!:)

But I digress, I think they are a great band. They have a lot of great music and I think Buck is a very underrated guitarist. He has a pretty cool style and definately is more interesting than a lot of guitarists from his era.

So rock on with your bad BOC self Buck!

Oh yeah, and Great Post man!
