What was I thinking when I sold my Dargie last fall? Certainly one of the more stupid things I've done and the 'ol Dargie SR5 with matching headstock soon becase yet another "regret" bass.

Fast forward to last week. Bass player friend of mine pm's me asking about the Dargies, knowing I'm a MM guy. I give him the poop. He says it's an SR5 he's considering taking in on trade for his Nash. I tell him I had sold a Dargie SR5 but it was an HS. I tell him the buyer. He emails me back, "same bass".

Long story short, I re-acquired it. It'll be at my door on Saturday. Back where it belongs.

Congratulations on bringing your Dargie back into the fold!

I often dream of the '77 SR4 fretless I let go back in the early '90s. I check CL every day to see if it's out there somewhere. So far no luck, but maybe someday...

Congrats on getting your bass back! Sure looks good!
Goes well with the yellow shirt. ;) Almost the brazilian flag.

But what I don't get is why you guys sell these things. It's so cool looking!
And it's a limited run! It's a Musicman! (and there are probably a 1000 more reasons) :p

Congratulations! Good move! An added bonus would be if Brett was bringing it back to you personally. Then you get both back.

Is that the one from sb69coupe?

I had no need for a 5string but had an offer to him, I never heard a nay back from him.

But it's always cool to hear a special bass making it's way back .

I'm hoping to buy bdgotoh's Dargie 4HH Bongo if he checks in at various internet locales and is agreeable to the transaction.

What Jack said.

Congrats, this is a story I like and so can relate too, I tend to buy and sell alot, but my only regret was selling my DD Luke, was kicking myself just a couple weeks aftr doing it, luckily thanks to this great fourm family i was able to get a DD Luke back and since have added a DD Silo Special.

But yours is so cool since it is your original DD, congrats again and dont let it out of your sights:D

I'll tell my wife you said that. She is the Jets fan. I'm a VIKINGS (Superbowl record 0-4) fan!

Congratulations on getting your bass back again! I'm sure there are lots of us on the board who wish we could get a bass or 5 back again!

Actually you can have him. Or can you? Will he be back? Won't he? Sheesh - I'm glad it's your problem now. My bet is your new coach won't let it be though.
