Back in paris after one week in NY. Amazing city btw, even if I have a preference for San Francisco :)

But anyway had a chance to stop by GC on the 14th in Manatthan. I was just expecting the regular minimum EBMM guitars. I was just chocked but all the EBMM they had

for a moment I thought I was in Pete's Dubaldo shop ;)

They had a lot of BFR Luke, Pets, Axis SS the double neck silo . Tones of new colors like Pearl white Luke (stunning), desert or true gold silo

So I have tried :

  • A Luke BFR BBB for sure a great axe and a tonemaster ! next one on my list :p
  • A Luke BFR Koa amazing guitar in person very nice looking but didn't bond with the finished neck  on the othe hand this is the kinda guitar that need more than a 10 mn playing to be appreciated
  • An Albert in BCB (a tribute to spud ;)) very nice but I prefer my Axis Sport SSS probably because the guitar was for long in store and had some fret issues. Too bad cause the AL is truly an exceptionnal guitar
  • A BFR ASS in Emerald green stunning guitar again, nothing more to add

To summarize, I had great time at CG was really nicely surprised about their chaice in terms of EBMM, just regret that some of those beauties deserve a better stortage treatment (AL and Luke had fret issues that are not compatible with EBMM quality standards and according the the serial number looks like guitars 2 years old)

regret also not to have tried the silo double neck just for fun :p

Glad you enjoyed your trip to the states! I wish shops around here carried more EBMM's...

Sounds like a nice trip and glad they had a stock for you too see, nature of the beast though on the wear, they can sit there for awhile and get abused by the wankers.

Problem is thats the only one in stock and they dont come down on price any more. So it is a hard sell for them as well as the buyer.

Was at GC Saturday and the central Dallas store had the same blck Luke thats been there for almost two years so dirty it would take 2 weeks just to clean it and then they want full price, not bashing GC , they just need to realize a guitar thats een on the floor for that long is really a used guitar.

Yea get a Luke BFR or any Luke:D

DId you notice the big display with a bunch of MMguitars and a WOLFGANG in the middle? I thought that was rather deceiving. Makes one think they are the same brand.

Tim, definitely give me a call when you are in town. Let's eat some grub and talk rock!

when are you coming?

actually yes :D

I was happy to be able to try those easily and very happy with my current guitars, so next purchase will wait a while :D. I have a very nice collection so far, that I'm willing to keep. So as sad as it may seems, I think I'm done with my quest as I have all the tone I love with my current set.

Even the 25th, will not be on my list at least not until I try one :p
