Hey guys!

The last couple of weeks have been the busiest period of my adult (i.e. post-university) life so far...loads of work left me with almost no free time at all, let alone hanging around here on the forum...I have to admit that I really missed that bit of daily routine checking out what's going on in EBMM land! Anyways, I'll do my best to get back to posting more often again.

So, this actually is a (belated I might add) NGD thread...a couple of weeks ago my Game Changer finally arrived!
Being familiar with the 25th I had a pretty good idea of what to expect from the Reflex itself, it is an outstanding instrument on its own and definitely one of the best and most outstanding new designs to have come out in years. This one - being a hardtail - comes with quite a bit of natural sustain...I tend to play my electrics unplugged a lot and this one really is one of it's kind, even clearer and sparklier than my 25th!

Out of the box, the setup was absolutely spot on (as with every EBMM I've ever owned from new), the stock pickup configuration alone makes it one of the most versatile guitars around but when you plug it into the computer and fire up the web app is where the fun really starts. The feeling one gets while fooling around with the (seemingly endless) options given is hard to describe...everyone of us knows the joy of really getting into the different settings a five way switch provides you with, exploring what sound could be used for this or that...how the volume and tone controls alter and shape the sound...but with the Game Changer you can literally go on for weeks and still feel it's just the tip of the iceberg (and that's how I feel with the HH setup...I guess the HSH would've been more than my sore brain can handle at the moment ;-)

Back when the Game Changer technology was introduced I jokingly said that a guitar like that is the only instrument you're gonna need but now - holding it in my hands and witnessing it's performance - I know that there's a lot of truth to it...

Conclusion: Don't be shy and try one out! The Reflex alone is a no-brainer...and the Game Changer technology will catapult you to tone heaven...and: the next time you go shopping for a new amp make sure the store's got a wi-fi connection and bring your laptop...you'll turn a lot of heads!

Here are some quick pictures to complete the thread:

Very elegant and classy looking guitar. I'm sure it plays fantastic as well. Love these 25ths/Reflexes, and the GC is the icing on the cake. Huge congrats Mug!

Thanks a lot guys!

I have had this guitar for over a month now and it doesn't cease to amaze...the only other guitar I have touched since I got the GC was my Silhouette Special SSS. I'm actually glad I didn't pick the HSH setup as it leaves a real need for a middle single coil.

I'm really hoping more people try one of these, the technology is mind-blowing!

By the way, the recent issue of the german "Gitarre & Bass" magazine has the Gamechanger Reflex on the cover (HH Piezo Hardtail, just like mine...!) and an in-depth review inside...they have nothing but high praise for the Gamechanger!

Glad you like it, I know this is a tremendous guitar. Do you have any particular pups combination you would like to share with us?

Do the single coil (Humbucker splitted) sound like a single coil?
