After playing the new Axis I got featured in this thread http://www.ernieball.com/forums/music-man-guitars/42628-lookie-lou-my-new-trans-blue.html , I started noticing more and more problems with the guitar. The only issue the seller had listed was the loose tremelo arm mechanism which I fixed myself.

First I notice the front pickup was leaning toward the bridge. Then it was fret buzz. Next the jack stated shorting out and the volume pot makes noise . I havent spoken to my guitar tech in so long he has changed his phone number and moved.....I drove two hours to his house to find that out. So I take to the guy in town a friend suggested who is also the local MM dealer.

He fixed the jack and said the pole pieces where sticking out from the front PU causing it to lean??? He also adjusted the neck but now the action is way to high for me. Bottom line is I'm not happy with the guitar.

I called Music Man and talked to A.J. who assured me they could get the guitar to play as good as the 92 EVH I once owned. So back to Cali she goes. I've read so many good things about the EBMM customer service here on the forum and I will confirm they indeed stand behind their product. Even with second hand instuments, they care about their reputation enough to go the extra mile to make me happy with their product. I just want to thank A.J. and the rest of the crew at MM.

I've had one experience with EB customer service (they fixed an issue with my SR5) and it was an absolute pleasure. Yours will come back like new. No doubts.

I've sent a few to SLO for some TLC. They do fantastic work. And their bench rates are incredibly reasonable. You'll be blown away when you get it back.

As everyone has stated, I'm sure the folks @ SLO will fix it up like new. I got my AL as a NOS, it had been hanging around GC for a very long time. I sent it back and they turned it back into the instrument that it was originally.
