Backing up EB private messages

I can't throw out anything!!
How can I back up my private messages to free up my alloted "space",

At the bottom of your PM page, there're links to backup your stuff. Look for the text "Download all Private Messages as". You have a choice between XML, CSV, and a regular text file. I think you may have to do this for both your inbox and your outbox (messages you received and messages you sent, respectively). And then you're set to clear it all up!
