Sterling,

Thank you for sharing that.
That almost brings a tear to my eye.
We've never had the opportunity to meet, but it's amazing how you can get to know people through the use of this forum.
It's great to know about your family and the about the lives of the other people here at this forum.
Thanks for creating this place and for sharing with all of us.

I know you're an extremely busy man with many mountains to conquer, but you really should get a book written. Your story really needs to be told and cherished by the world. It's a story than just cannot be lost in time. :)

the book is Jacks job!

The Ernie Ball Forums: Where the past comes alive!

I think we were all aware of your Dad's contributions in bringing custom strings to guitarists, but I don't think anyone knew your family's involvement in the American music scene extended back even farther! Thanks, BP!:D

I will make a prediction, this will become the most viewed thread ever. The next most viewed thread hasn't been started yet. That will be the thread that contains a pic of Foggy's newly purchased EBMM! Nicely put BP and thanks for letting us into your world.

Good read :). Thanks for sharing the history of the family BP, and the history of how the BEST guitars/basses in the world came about. Now I see WHY they are the best, because they are full of pure passion and soul coming for people that care about the good and important things in life. Thanks again!:)
And yes, have that book written, because people need to be edumacated more :D.

Fantastic post! But I'm trying to figure out one thing. What is "shagging polo balls for Tarzan"?

Reference to living next to Johnny Weissmuller who played Tarzan in the 30's/40's serials.
