Well I got the family together today to greet our newest addition. Now we eagerly await the arrival of their sister (Sterling 5 Trans Orange)

Beautiful! You finally got the new one! I was cracking up when I saw your post showing the shipping status. I do the same thing - wait impatiently! Here's a quick story. I had been waiting 2 years! to get a Rickenbacker 4004L - the one with no pickguard and binding. I got tired of waiting and transferred my deposit to a Sterling 5HH Fretless, which will be here in a few months - not a few years! It will be a more usable bass anyway - the RIC was more of a collector piece for the wall hanger - no need! I'm having a better time GASsing for the EB/MM's. Since the arrival of the Sterling 5, I've found my new favorite bass after being a Tobias Killer B5 guy for many years. The Sterling is much more aggresive and punchy - or it can be mellowed out by using both pups on the HS - position 3 and 4. I ordered the Sterling 5HH fretless so I'd have more pup combos + not worried about room for "poppage" on a fretless.

no lovin' for da bongas?

I tried to show love to a Bongo once, It just wasn't me. I think it was just the looks I couldn't get past. :(

Thank you to all of your kind comments. I am very proud of all of my balls.

I have to send a special thank you to BP and the gang for making a fantastic bass. :D I have truly seen the light and have been converted from Fender to EB.

Dargin,

My wife was just saying that we should change our order on the Sterling 5
Trans Orange to an HS model, but I don't think that is possible is it? Someday I will get a fretless and maybe that one will be in the HS config.

Also,

Thank you once again to my lovely and supportive wife. Without her I would have none of these, because she pushed me to get what I really wanted.:) She also is responsible for the great shots of the family.

I can't wait for my other Sterling to arrive. :D
