I recently bought a JP12 and I noticed it has a normal 2 dot marker on the 12th fret. Does anyone know why other guitars has the 'Ball Family Reserve' logo?. Is there other difference beyond that? or it's a minor detail?

Oh, I see. Did not know that. I'm actually glad it's just a minor detail, I was afraid the badge meant something else, like 'it comes from a different place' or so.

Thanks, I thought this may be already asked, too lazy to look for it though.

LOL... You cray cray K-dawg!

I do like the work.... and need that done on my PDN. That logo looks best against a flamed maple fingerboard. :)

Come on and join the "Sexy" club - I can hook you up, brother!!! :)

I prefer the badge.

And that other link of the 'custom' badge has no pics.

I love the badge personally! It makes me feel special... more so than the neck plate that states BFR. (Just realized I'm apparently extremely materialistic) Would it be sacreligious to replace the JP badge with one of my own that represents me? Provocative question I know.

I miss the badge too... It was something that was part of the guitar that signified you had something extra special. Neck plates can be removed/changed.

Its cool that some like it, but i think the beauty of the tops and neck woods selected for bfr models speak for themselves, you would instantly look at one and think " wow thats not a regular model" and they do still have the mother of pearl dot inlays, are they mother of pearl? Or some other shiny material?
