Like, you, I am ready to buy a JP6 BFR. I am pretty set on koa. The new koa finish is supposedly honey burst as opposed to the previous tobacco burst. I love EBMM's honey burst! But I am waiting till NAMM to hopefully see a photo just to make sure before committing that kind of money. Ruby redburst would be my other contender.

Also, like you, I am not wild about the gold hardware on the koa. I'll buy it either way, but I wish chrome hardware was an option on the koas. Does anyone know if it is possible to order one that way?
So I’ve been a mm fan since I got my Sillouete Special years a ago. I have many great ax’s. Reverend , Campbell American , Blade , MM, Fender , Washburn Custom Shop, SUHR. I got a chance last week to play a Jp6 BFR KOA knowing I love my other MM I played it and payed up on the spot. Won’t say how much because I won’t rub it in.
All I can say is this is far and away the best guitar I have ever played. I am more of a jam band classic rock player but this guitar can do anything. The neck is so fast and comfortable and it’s sound just cuts thru a mix like nothing I have played before. I play out quite a bit and can’t wait to get it onstage. I wish it had chrome hardware but for the price I paid it really looks great with the Koa finish. If I ever find anything better I’ll buy it because anything better than this will basically itself. Glad to be apart of the forum ..
