Ponch, can you translate that to English?

Or if you want, you can email me the rough English translation and I'll clean it up for you. (Hey, it's what I do.)

Thanks!

Here's the translation of my article, thank

Actually the trip to Bash 06 Ernie Ball Music Man
(EBMM) Dallas was an idea of Musicman senior member
forum Mr. Jack Williams and the owner of EBMM company
Mr. Sterling Ball. Besides, the event was a private
party of Mr. Jack Williams, an old friend of Mr.
Sterling Ball. The event was held in two locations,
Hyatt Regency DFW and Love and War Café, Grapevine,
Dallas. They say the LAW café was a residence of Norah
Jones used to play there.

OK, let’s start from a beginning of our trip from
Oklahoma to Dallas. By listening to some CDs of
Gustaaf and having a map with us, the trip was so
exciting. Toto CD and Paul Gilbert were enough to
reduce our tiring hours during the trip. Because
Gustaaf who only had a driving license, so he was in
charge of driving from OK to Dallas. (It took 3-4
hours). During the trip we killed the time by doing
‘head bang’ listening to PG songs (Bliss Song,
especially YEAAH!) and nodding head enjoying Toto
groovy songs. Because we brought amplifier n guitars,
when we arrived at a Dallas inn, it was at 1 o or 2 o
clock in the morning, both of us were jamming together
(not in a loud, coz we obey the rule of inn, ah..ah..)

The day after, on 3rd of Nov 2006, we drove to Hyatt
Regency. We found it confused when looking for the
location of scheduled event that time. The event held
in Hyatt Regency was scheduled for 4th November 2006.
From the Hyatt management we were given a contact
person, that’s Mr. Williams number. Eventhough I got
nervous, I kept trying to dial him. At last, I and he
spoke on the phone and tried to find out the info of
the event. To my surprise, Mr. Williams is so
excellent of speaking Indonesian, and he is so
friendly too to both of us. Moreover, he knows well
our names. Unbelieveable…, how could he recall every
name that attending in EBMM forum. Salut! He was happy
and appreciated our arrival from Oklahoma that really
enthusiastic about following the Bash 06 EBMM. From
Mr. Williams we had info about the location (of the
event) and when the event will be held.

At 7.30 p.m. at the same day, we, finally, got the
location of the café. It took a half an hour to go to
LAW Café from our inn. Arriving at the location,
Gustaaf directly asked about EBMM program to the front
desk, and our names were on the list and we didn’t
have to wait to get into the café. Without being in
the lines, we were led to a café spot and met EBMM
member forum there. There, we met Mr. Williams with
his warmed welcome. (He is a kind person). Then we
looked at EBMM guitar collection comes to be shown to
look at and try by the visitors. All the collection
especially we saw in the event is the latest product
and limited series and custom EBMM guitar. Among
others are Luke Signature, Dargie Lime Green Cocktail,
Silhouette, Axis, John Ptrucci signature, Steve Morse
signature #1, Albert Lee signature, bass Sterling,
Bongo and Stingray. All the collection is bass and
guitar limited series and special custom. There, we
could see Unreleased Wah Pedal from Ernie Ball.
Perhaps, next year the Wah Pedal will be officially
launched. We also had chance to see bass and guitar,
moreover we could play them. We observed detailed
specs of the instruments.

Satisfied seeing and trying the great collection, we
headed back to member forum. We were extremely happy
to meet Mr. Sterling Ball and Steve Lukather who had
just arrived to the café, followed by Tony Spinner, a
friend of Paul Gilbert and he was an additional
musician in Toto Band, Dave Larue (Steve Morse Band).
They attended to celebrate the program/event. The next
program was hospitable meeting and dinner. EBMM forum
member showed their performance on stage, such as
Cowpilot Band, Tyler (a talented young guitarist) and
some other bands. The se performances were held after
midnight.

On 4th of November 2006, around 1.30 p.m. we headed
back to Hyatt Regency to attend the meeting and
discussion with EBMM specialists hosted by Mr.
Sterling Ball himself and some others, such as, Steve
Lukather and Dave Larue who also were enthusiastic to
share their experience about their carrier and custom
instrument especially made by EBMM for them. CEO from
Guitar Centre (one of biggest Music Shop Company in
US) was there too. There were also some technicians
and designers from EBMM. The discussion material at
that time was so general, from production quality
control and marketing of EBMM, interesting info
sharing about the EBMM latest products, history of
EBMM company (former a family company of Ball). Mr.
Sterling Ball himself is the third generation of the
family who runs this company now. He really care for
the consumers and lovers of EBMM products, and closely
interacted with visitors, answering all critical
questions about EBMM (that we know it is not fair if a
big company tend to keep away from consumer to avoid
friction and emerging question that based on the
marketing experts they face a big risk if they meet
consumer and exposed by mass media which report the
program). We can conclude that Music Man is the only
company that really open and care for any input or
comments from customers, that dare to take risk on
business and really doesn’t maker any sense from the
eye of other music companies to interact directly to
their consumers.

The program in that afternoon was closed with a bit
interview of EBMM artist Steve Lukather and Dave Larue
until all questions from the visitors answered clearly
and completely. At last, Mr. Sterling Ball close the
first session on that day and then it will be
continued with All Stars Concert of EBMM artists in
the evening. Unfortunately Gustaaf and I had to go
back to Oklahoma after the first session, we had a
chance to say goodbye personally to Mr. Sterling Ball,
Steve Lukather and Dave Larue. This journey is really
exciting to us. There are a lot of things that we
cannot say here about the event. May God bless us so
that we can go back again to report Bash 07 EBMM next
year. Thank you very much.

Oklahoma, 5 November 2006
