What's your favourite bass Amp Maker for Cabs and Head. I like Ampeg head and cab and Fender Heads

Waiting on the Danny Partridge Signature Kustom amps right now.

Until then, Sunn 1200S head and Ampeg classic cabs (1-15 and 4-10).

Do you like that ampeg set up better than just a plain 8 x 10?

For loud gigs I use an Ashdown ABM 500 C210, with an ABM 410 cab. For lower volume/great tone gigs I use an Ampeg B-15-R with a B-15-S. For my “leave it at the gig” rig I use a SWR WorkingMan’s 2001 head with two 210 cabs. And finally for playing around the house I will use my 1966 Ampeg B-18-N… when it gets out of the shop.

All these amps are left handed models. :D

always a state of flux for me but I'm thinking of heading back to a pair of Eden 210XSTs , not sure what head but right now I'm using a crown power amp and a home made tube pre(my buddy put it together, it's quite nice actually) and a GK Neo212(nice cab)

i love teh Ampeg svt classic ...
i thought the mesa mpulse 500 was good too.

ive tried most ampeg heads, the mesa 400+ thing and the new fender heads too. i didnt really like em at all but many folks use them ... so its all about "my ears vs your ears"

BBE BmaxT -> Crown XLS-402 -> Schroeder 21012.

We played at a club last night in a room that didn't require sound reinforcement for the bass or guitars and very little for the drums. This rig sounded amazing with my SR5. That was the first time since I've had it that it wasn't run through the mains when we were playing live. A couple of the guys that came on after us came up and told us that we had the most balanced mix he had ever heard in that room.

Solid State heads - Eden - clean, plenty of lows, good power
Tube heads - Ampeg - Lots of power and punch
cabs - SWR Pro series - good sound, almost as many SPLs as Eden, affordable
I have yet to try a rack setup. The SVT works pretty well outdoors.
