bass books?

hey im from the guitar side of this forum and i need all of your help, ive got a church youth group band and im the leader, im the only one that can really play an instrument and the only other kid in the youth group with an instrument is my cousin, he has a blue olp...well he cant play the bass, at all. Now im stuck teaching him because you cant have a band without a bassist...so what im getting at is i need some bass player books so i can learn at home, so i can teach my cousin

I like Ed Friedland's teaching style. He has a series of books for beginner bassists published by Hal Leonard...

I heard "bass guitars for dummies" is very very useful, i ordered a copy myself to see if it's any good
