Yeah, that's 20 minutes away from me...

I'll take my young bass playing son there for sure...see you there!

I was thinking closer to the city. LI can be over 2 hours from where I am upstate.

It was in Franklin Park, NY and I hate to break it to you but people traveled a lot farther than what you'd have to travel (I wouldn't consider Warwick, NY to be upstate). In fact, for 3 yrs in a row (but not this year), some came all the way from Europe. And there's a few from NY that are coming to the RI gtg.

Oh it was noisy... You know there were a ton of 2K, 3K, 4K+ basses... but nothing that I felt could do anything better than our EBMM, just different
I'll take the Sterling\Bongo in the mix vs any of em. Hell there was one guy with at least a 4K bass that said he couldn't hear himself in the mix despite anything he tries.
We will NEVER have that problem with EBMM for a fraction of the cost.
There was a guy wailing on Sterling by Musicman right by you Freddles & that guy cut through the mix for sure, also crushed your conversations! HA!

As loud as it was & as little as you could hear yourself I actually learned a ton. All those subtle improvements in a 4K bass will just get lost in a band setting. For 4K I'd rather have a whole stock of EBMM & hear myself

I was actually quite impressed with Tony's Sterling by Musicman basses. The ones I've tried at GC just weren't set up well. Tony's were set up great and played so nicely and sounded very, very good. Still happy with my Bongo 5HH.

Tonys basses rocked & stood out in that loud room just as good if not better than any of the 4K basses that were around.

Good times. I'm bringing my Bongo & Sterling with my cabs\amps next time. Maybe those boutique bass owners will feel shame that our EBMM kick their butt!

Huh! What did you say? I didn't hear you with all these young whipper snappers banging on those long string banjos.

It was a great time. Tony has some nice rays. And Freddels Bongo is amazing. I love the color. At times I had to step outside to give my ears a rest. But just for a short time. :)

Thanks Guys...I love my SBMM basses and they get plenty of use. My Ray34ca's are my most gigged 4 strings at the moment and have been since I got them.

By the way Freddels I have to say that I'm not a Bongo guy but your Bongo was truly the best I have ever played. You always seem to luck out and have a nice stable.

I owned many different high end basses and could play/own whatever I want (Its not the price) and I choose SBMM. ;)

So that was Basswave with the long hair rocking out the house. Next year I'm having my own little booth the Bongo & Sterling HH going through 2 VERY different caps & 3 VERY different amps.
The tonal variety will too much for those boutique owners to handle

It's the set up! I really do dig this Bongo. It didn't get much attention as most of the boutique guys were looking at all those. I'm still happy with what I've got.
