What a killer groove! That Sterling 5 sounds so fat & thick, awesome!

Oh my!!! Love them both... Still can't get over Stan and the upside down Bongo. How about John just laying down that beat... he's awesome!

Well, that's what I'm talking about..!!!

Yeah, finally some good jam stuff...!!!

Please take attention to the switch position of that Sterling there, it's single bridge coil split from H pickup on that single H model, right?
That's my favorite, yes! :p

Excellent! :)

And that Bongo 6 is really versatile instrument!

Splendid! :)

Stan rocks, but Juan really stole my heart with his groove and the amazing tone from the Sterling 5. Shame on me, but I'd never really paid much attention to Sterlings (sorry BP)... I now realise the error of my ways.

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing the vibe and the massive serve of inspiration :D

Cheers

Hmm, reverse Bongo option?

If there ever was reason to do a lefty Bongo 6, here it is

I'm guessing Stan likes to play upside down, but it looks so cumbersome. Awesome player.

Juan impressed the hell out of me. That dude grooves non stop.

Stan is about the last bass player in the world to troubleshoot.

Does a bass player ever get a break?

Superb - can't wait for the next ones to be posted

Both instruments sound great but I really can't get over the sound of that Bongo 6 - so clean and bright.

The bongo 6 is a special instrument. I usually play the 5 but the 6 brings new things that aren't possible.

When I play the bongo 6 my wife says you're a rockin grandpa. :D

There is more wood in the bongo 6 and yeah even an old man like me with blown ears can hear.

It is more than an extra string and by God it is gospel when it comes to six strings or my name isn't tk.

Wow. Great to HEAR Juan playing a MM. It's been sad over the last few years having his great 5-string playing um, muffled on those other basses he was playing. The Sterling totally fits him. More growl and more funk than anything else he has played.

I also love the way Juan "soloing" is still Juan playing the bass part. He never gives up his responsibility for the groove. Anybody besided me miss him on the last Ben Harper record?

And Stan is amazing. How does he get that sound fingerstyle?
