You're crazy man. I think that first Bongo's preamp has fried your brain. Three!? Gee whiz.

I might be crazy, but I played the Bongo 4 last night for a couple of hours, learning some old Steely Dan stuff...and every time I'd tweak the controls, I'd fall in love with that bass all over again.

So the way I look at it, it's months down the road, it isn't new anymore, and I'm still in awe when I play it, and that means something.

Maybe I'll sell all my Fishes and go All Bongo, All The Time.

heh heh

By the way, did you guys see this thing?

Wow! Where'd you get that one. 4 string Fishies are a rare find, aren't they? And that sucker's really bright! Hahaha

Yup, it is kind of an odd one, but unfortunately, I can't keep it. Found my 3rd Bongo last night, heh heh.

I reckon it will be on eBay soon.

Too bad, it's a cool bass, but gotta make some room.

Bovine, you going for all 6 Bongos? I've been thinking a 1 humbucker Bongo might not be too far off for me.

Well, I admit that three Bongos seem perfectly reasonable, but now SIX Bongos, that might be going too far, even for me.

Plus, I have two Jazz basses that I must keep no matter what....a 62 RI and a Custom Shop 64.

whew. im ok now. lets see if i can get some money to buy a new pretty bass and then make all of you jealous. hahahahaha.

p.s. so you know i didnt mean that. just kinda angry and jealous.

I'm going to guess that I'm a lot older than you, which sometimes but not always translates into more disposable income.

You'll get there! Meanwhile, I gotta tell you, a drummer friend of mine gave me his Squier P bass to adjust for him a couple of weeks ago. I fooled with it, got it set up nicely and to tell you the truth, I couldn't stop playing the thing!

It was a cool bass.

yea, i spent like 6 months tweaking mine(its my first bass and ive only been playing electric for a lil over two years) and i got it to be pretty nice. my teacher even said i have no excuse to practice cuz my bass is set up really well. and i did it all myself. i just really really want a music man(currently im having internal conflicts between a bongo and a ray). and yea im 16 and i see you have a wife and a kid, not to mention all those basses, so yea im pretty sure you are a good deal older than me. but thanks for the encouraging words. what a great guy you are, jack.

I know how you feel, skabassist. I'm only 18. I've been through 7 different basses and I regret selling each and everyone. But now I've got a good paying job and the patience I need to save up. Its a weird story as to how I bought my first Ray. I had found a used G&L L2000 at my Guitar Center for $450. I get the money in the bank and pay with debit card. Before that cleared, I found an Ibanez ATK that I just had to have for $350. I get the Ibanez and its alright. Not the beef I was looking for. A week later, I sell the Ibanez for $325 and L2000 for $600, ad $200 of my own cash and I have a brand new translucent teal Stingray. Three months later, I get an offer from Midopa for the Blue Sparkle Ray. I though I had settled down. I get to talking with the guy I sold my original Ray too and I realize I want it back. He says he'll trade it for a Stingray 5. So here I am....

Buy my Stingray!
