I'm an ernie ball music man string guy and normally use the medium size on my 5 string bongo cus thats what the shop near me stocks but once I tried a small size by another brand and really liked it so I was just wondering if the smaller sizes will still manage to sound as big because I definitely don't wanna lose tone
this is the sort of thick sound I get at the moment with my band

I just love the feel of the smaller size and it's easier for stuff like tapping which i do a fair amount. Also are the any other sort of materials or types of strings that ernie ball does that are brighter or as bright for longer than the standard strings?
Thanks and hope you like the song (we've got a fb page if you like it)
ps. Tried Rotosound once and hated the feel of them, just felt kinda grimey compared with balls
