Bass suddenly became quiet

I have a 4 string 2000 Musicman Stingray that suddenly became really quiet. I changed the battery and it still is very quiet. It seems to be about 1/4 of the volumne of what it used to be I have to crank up my amp to hear it. When I plug my Fender Bass it's loud as normally should be. Not sure what the issue is, any help is much appreciated.

it may be the input jack that has become loose? Call customer service

I guess I'll call customer service. As an additional note I did check all the wiring and everything is connected so no lose wires.

I called support, the issue is a bad preamp $75 replacement cost ouch.

Thats a bargain I know a lot of guitar techs that charge a minimum of $75 per hour plus parts so that is a good price.

Also check that the battery terminals are connecting to the battery properly.

Some repair guys will charge you $75 just to give you a repair quote. $75 for a genuine OEM preamp is bargain basement territory.
