To me it rather proves that no matter what bass is used, a player seems to wring out a certain tone..."it's all in the hands", for the most part.

I've played one bass and amp for one show, then use a different bass and completely different amp the next gig only to have the musicians in the crowd come up to me and say "you still sound the same".

i think that if he kept his right hand in a similar position throughout we would have heard his tone would have been nearly unchanging. which is good cause you got some good pickin' skills there sonny.

Very nice. I liked the very first J example and the flat and mid boost fretless the most. All very capable basses though, and a very fine player surely does em no harm ;)

Love it Pertyman. Nice playing.

I think my ears must be deteriorating cos all of these sound very similar - each one has it's own merits but for what its worth I like the Stingrays best - now there's a surprise!
