While I appreciate the 2008 LE colour, I can't say I like it as much as when I first saw the matching headstock teaser. I'm just not digging the gold hardware.

Speaking of hardware; has there ever been black hardware on a MusicMan bass aside from the Stealth Bongo (StingRay or Sterling)?

Dang, just when I think I'm over the 20th SR5 and hooked on the idea of a Desert Gold 6er, I see shots of the '08 LE and rethink the 6er all over again ... durn you Big Poppa ... life was easy until you got adventurous in the paint booth
and I was thinking that only a 20th could make me forget my sorrows over missing a n'07 LE in Blue Dawn and I would never have bet that a 6er ciould get my mind off of a Sterling 5 in Tobacco Burst

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'd assume it'd be the standard 6 string bass tuning - B,E,A,D,G,C.

I'm still torn as well. Looking forward to the official shots of the same quality (in neutral lightning) as the teaser photo.

AFAIK, there was a run of all black StingRays (aka "Darth Vader") and one of Sterlings (aka "Onyx")
