Against my better judgement, I've begun to trust you.
I will definitely control my drinking Friday because hangovers are the curse of the Older Guy (I used to be able to go all night and then mow the yard - that came to an end a long time ago) and I want to be feeling good for Saturday, but hey, just TWO LITTLE MARTINIS never killed anyone.

Looks like, thanks to a friend at america west, I'll be flying into SLO airport. Anyone know how far it is from there to the Motel6? Walking distance? I doubt they have a shuttle, but you never know...

As I near the mid-century mark, there are a few things, just a few, that I know for sure. I don't know much, but I do know this:
1. I'm not an amusement park kind of guy.
2. Men and women are a different species.
3. I drink vodka.
Now I have promised, should it come up, to have some fine old tequila with Sterling and Cliff, and I will make good on that promise. This does not mean I will drink a LOT of it - but brotherhood requires me to at least have one.
Other than that, I drink vodka.
I am nearly immune to peer pressure. This happens when you get old - and survive a military career amongst sailors and marines and special forces and so on.
