Hey guys,

Will a Axis SS HH (Dimarzio) defo come with a basswood body as standard and not ash? I didnt specify to supplier but I assume I will defo get basswood with HH spec? I don't think I fancy the weight of an ash body!

Cheers

Hello

I believe the only Axis SS that comes with an ash body is the Axis SS with MM90 pickups. I have one and it is very light (my Morse is the heaviest, the Axis the lightest one).

MM90 equipped Axis SS's will have ash bodies but every piece of wood is different. My two Sports have ash bodies that are fairly heavy, but had an original pinkburst AL and it was the lightest guitar I've ever played. They will vary.

ash is notorious for being inconsistent in weight. Tele experts will tell you that you can have 2 guitars of the exact same model, but the weight will vary.

Thanks for all your help guys I'm learning a lot from here. I just got confirmation that it's a basswood body with HH.

Cheers
