Question Battery compartment rusted

Hello!!

I have a A Big Al SSS and a Bongo bass HH. Both have dual battery holder, where batteries spilled a corrosive liquid inside and is damaging the contacts. Where can I look for new battery holders to buy? Is there a way to clean that??

contact customer service. They will hook you up with new ones. and in the future you should use batteries of good quality (ebmm recommends duracel) also replace em at least every few years.

I change mine every 12 months needed or not and make a point to check the compartment over regularly for that exact reason, its not just the battery compartment (there easy to change) but everything else that could get damaged by a leaky battery.
The contacts are permanently made on the battery so plugged in or not there is going to be some slight drain to it.

I've not seen 9v alkaline batteries leak, but the AA and AAA ones occasionally do so. Once that corrosive liquid reaches a circuit board, it generally damages the device. I've had to replace one or two remote controls because of the problem.

Many 9v batteries consist of six tiny cells (LR61 cells, roughly AAAA size). Usually if one of those cells leaks, the battery gets replaced before the liquid escapes from the outer case.
