There isn't much that can go wrong with a pickup.

I'd check the battery again, making sure it has good contact.

Otherwise, time to contact a reputable tech or EBMM Customer Service.

I've tried different batt. Plus i checked them with my vom. I had a pickup go bad on me years ago and it was the same symptom, I'm hoping it's not the preamp

It's not the pickup problem when thin sound appears, it could be a problem with contact corrosion, or bad cable, jacks, etc.

Try first change a cable with new one, than spray bass output jack and amp input jack with special anti-corrosion spray for electronic contacts!

If doesn't helps, try with another amp and if after all those steps don't solve thin sound problem, it's time that qualified person "open" Your bass!

P.S. ...guys already said to check the battery contacts (use this spray which I mention above if necessary). Use only alkaline battery!

Have You changed strings recently?

I called the tech. It was the contacts! He told me to take the Batt. compartment out and push the contacts out a little, after a while they don't make full contact. Anyway thats what i did and works like a charm. Thanks everyone for your Input.
