Anybody else had any difficulty removing the battery from a Stingray?? I had to change mine last night and it was stuck good and proper. I eventually got it out but not after nearly ripping the battery compartment out!!

The old battery was a cheap one as i had to borrow it off the guitarist. Is this the reason? Cheaper batteries are wider or something??

I've dropped a Duracell one in now which seems to fit better.

Never had trouble getting one out, but some aren't long enough to make good contact. You can fix that with a little piece of paper at the non-business end of the battery, by the way.

Hmmm, stuck, eh? You try turning the garden hose on them?

I had to un screw the compartment to get mine out becouse it was to long. the door wouldn't even open enough to pull the battery out.

well i have heard that some batteries are different in the sizes. anyway, Duracel is the recommended battery for music mans so stick with them.

My batery jumped out in a concert, when I hit the bass with the knee. I think the new plastic batery box sucks! I changed the '2000 SR5 with a much much, better '93 sr5. With metal and screws. And I use Duracell ;-) the commercial with the bunny is true!

I'm suprised they have not come with some kind of phantom power supply comming from the amp yet. Its not like you can play the thing with out the amp anyway
