Wow, That's disgusting. I'd like to post over there, but at this point I question if it would do any good, and for that matter, who am I. Regardless, I'd be wrong not to offer my full support, and best wishes to BP and really everybody down there making it happen.
There's a lot of good points that have already been made. Something that's so gracious from somebody that doesn't Have to do anything is an amazing offer. Hell, I feel honoured based solely on the fact that BP will Talk to us. I mean, come on! It's Sterling Ball! I can't believe you guys have to take such crap and can only apologise for the actions of these juvenile fools. Of course, this is all the 'clean' version of what I'm feeling, but I'm Sure you guys get the idea.
It goes without saying that all of us here are disgusted with the behaviour of those bands and constantly impressed by the dedication of BP and the entire EBMM team.

Big Poppa, I got it! There has been a terrible misunderstanding!!!! Some people apparetnly have misread the Battle of the Bands for A WEBPAGE CREATION CONTEST!!!!!!
I mean who in his/her sane mind would think THE QUALITY OF THEIR PROFILE or number of hit it gets is a major criterion to be chosen to play at Vans Warped? It's not that hard to get around IP logging and stuff and write a script to drive someone's hits count through the roof. Or you can do simple social networking thingy - ask all your friends to ask all their friends to.. etc. Both take some skill, but not MUSICAL SKILL!!
I don't want to stir Battle forum any more, so I won't post there for now...

thanks guys... sometimes it takes morons to know who your friends are....I sat there today and said, Why am I doing this? But Brian was swamped and ten guys at work have put in eighty hour weeks listening to bands...some good but alot of derivitave that gives you a headache and then a boatload of absolute garbage. It is funny because these dolts think that we are getting rich on them and are getting this great benefit right away from giving our four warped tour spots to unsigned acts rather then some of the over 600 endorsed Ernie Ball artists.
Some of these guys are afraid to take their shots online. You should see some of the emails that Brian has received.........For those of you counting I think that I made my first post at 5 am and its now 11:13....maybe sleep would be good....

These bands should have to good grace not to bitch about this sort of thing. Here in Norwich we have several battle competitions but nothing back by such a big wonderful company as EB.
All I would say is run the posts through a good lawyer and give em a scare.....
Dont let it get you down man though. THe human condition is easier to moan about things than praise them - not something you would fine amongst these bass brothers.

Don't let them get to you. Just a bunch of ingrates who were raised on MTV and believe that the real world is something like "The Real World".
If you decide to continue the battle next year (and I'm sure you've got serious misgivings about that), you should make it more difficult to enter. If it can all be done online, every bozo with an instrument and a PC will sign up. You need a screening mechanism to remove the chaff. But that can be left to greater minds than mine.
You're a hell of a guy for even considering such a competition, let alone actually doing it, and paying for it, to boot! Maybe your reward is in heaven for this one.. it certainly isn't over on the battle forum.

Great to hear! Seems this was a serious case of "a bad apple spoiling the bunch!"
I have only been a "member" of the EBMM family for a year, and I have been repeatedly amazed by the level of dedication and respect given to the customer. It's what sets this company apart from the rest - and it is appreciated, regardless of what a few ingrates might have you think.
I didn't just "buy" a bass, I "invested" in a relationship. If only my other stocks would pay such great dividends!
