Thirteen years have come and gone since Ernie Ball teamed up with the Vans Warped Tour to start what has become the world's largest unsigned battle of the bands competition. During that time span over 2,500 bands have been given the opportunity to play live on the Vans Warped Tour alongside the likes of NOFX, Pennywise, Green Day, Blink 182, and more.
Every year starting in April bands from across North America flock to Battle of the Bands 13 - Home - Powered by FameCast in order to submit their music, build a profile, and stake claim to their spot on the Vans Warped Tour. And 2009 was no different, over 10,000 bands signed up by early June and once again proved that you don't need to have a record deal in order to make your mark in the music industry!
Over the last 13 years the Battle of the Bands stage has grown to become one of the most recognized and jam packed stages on tour. With past headliners such as MXPX, Bowling for Soup, Less Than Jake, Gym Glass Heroes, and Aiden (just to name a few); fans have come to expect world class talent in association with the EB stage. When it comes to the Battle, attendees have grown to anticipate and devote their full attention to the 4 bands that are battling it out in each city.
This years' Ernie Ball Battle of The Bands showcase will take place at The Roxy, located on Hollywoods legendary Sunset Strip, Tuesday, December 8th. Warped Tour veterans Story of the Year will be the featured headliner with a special early performance by Eyes Set to Kill starting at 7:00 pm sharp. As always, fans can expect great door and show prizes from Ernie Ball, Warped Tour, Guitar Center, Hurley, and many more!
Please join us for a night of fun and celebration as The Darlings, Conditions, Dinner and a Suit and The Syncope Threshold all battle to be crowned the 2009 Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands Champion.
