If you "release" the truss rod, the strings will lay upon the fretboard
hmm. I thought "releasing" the trussrod lets the strings pull the neck as a bow,
tightening it will cause the strings lay upon the fretboard?

People like that anger me. It is because of people like that, that many business stop doing extra things as favors for customers. They get burned by their generosity. That guy should be ashamed of himself.

BP, your company is an incredible company and while that guy may be out trying to slander EBMM, there will be more of us to tell others about the good your company has done! I know my family has been more than open in sharing with others what you and your company has done for us!

The French guy was on here a little while ago rehashing old posts. I wanted to ask him if it was true that in schools in France, students are taught that if they have a question, they need to raise both hands instead of one?

Me too. The truss rod is there to counteract string tension. So, if "release" is understood as "less tightening", then the neck should have more bow. Maybe, Jack just had a "heat of the moment moment" ;), or I have misunderstood the trussrod principle for a good 25 years :confused:.

Maybe it's time to remember that one person who happens to be French and a jackass is no reason to start insulting all of the French members of the board with comments that make you also look like a jackass.

But, if your Bass is up side down (which I believe it was) then Jack is correct ;)

The thread is starting to take different directions.

Thread closed (subject to BP and Jackson?)

Yes apologies to the French...Im sorry that some took the opportunity to be very narrow and shallow and bash.

Companies now live in fear of a viral backlash. In this instance I think that he got it in the backwash.
