He may be fast and he may be a great player, but what a whiner. Good game today though. I'm digging Chelsea.

Right on, MrM. Glad I'm not the only one seeing this.

Hey Bungo - my apologies and I certainly don't mean to insult your team. This American fanboy has no allegiance to any team, with the possible exception of Man U. Roony, to me, is a joy to watch and always keeps me entertained. Bellamy just seemed to whine a bit too much today. I was surprised they put up with it.

Ha ha! Fair enough!:D

Actually, he's not exactly the most popular player at West Ham by a long chalk and he certainly does like a good moan! Unfortunately he's our best (fit) striker at the moment so what can you do?

Chelsea usually just go far mass intimidation of the referee (and a lot of Drogba diving) ...

Here's a good example..:D;)

25th April we've got 'em at home. We'll paste them then!!!

Now that's funny! They do seem to go down a lot - but then again, I can't imagine running as hard as they do for 90 minutes. That, and it's a very physical game. Much tougher than American football.

Let me guess... sounds like they're speaking English but it doesn't make sense? Must be talking about Cricket, lol

Rod from Strings and Things took me to a Cricket game (Sussex vs. Surrey) on Father's Day in London, what great fun! There was even a wave!

...and remember, my invitation to a football match (you know..'soccer' ;) ) still stands as long as you visit between August and May next time.:D

PS Are you coming over again next summer?

Someone will offer big bucks for the little Welshman in the Jan transfer window.

Turned down a £6m bid from Spurs so far.....

Let's hope the club are true to their word and we don't sell any of the major players in January.....but I'll believe it when I see it!!!

PS Another three points yesterday...was worth freezing my bolts off to see that one!:D

 Is that per year? That's like $10m US. More than our pro football and basketball players make.

Next time I come over I'm going with you. I haven't seen a game in the UK (saw one in Ireland but that didn't count) and would dearly love to go to a game. Maybe against Man U? I'd be rooting for Rooney. ;)

The £6m was an offer from Spurs to West Ham for Bellamy.

All players here have a contract with their club that can be for several years ahead. Bellamy is contracted to West Ham for another 4 years. If a club wants to aquire a player they have to pay that player's club an agreed fee in addition to whatever the new club agrees to pay the player in wages.

Bellamy earns in the region of $5m a year at the moment. Rooney reputedly makes about $17m a year from MU!

If you do come over I'd be more than happy to take you to a game at West Ham. We have a great old fashioned football stadium where the stands are right up against the pitch edge making for a brilliant, highly charged atmosphere.

You'll have to get your skates on for this season though. Tickets for the West Ham v MU game on 8th Feb go on sale on the 6th January.

I'll be there but strangely not rooting for Shrek (Rooney) and his mates.:D:p
