Hey All - I played a benefit show on Nov 4, the same night of Jack's Birthday Bash. It was to raise money for the mother of a friend of mine who was killed in Iraq. It was a great show, raised some money and made everyone who attended a better person. My friend's mom refused to take the money (long story), so we decided to do something for her. We had a contractor build her a ramp to make it easier for her to gain access to her house. The ramp she had was not the best and worried me to be honest. Many of you here know the story of what went on and some donated money to the cause. THANKS!

Now, we have another benefit show coming up December 9th for a friend of the bands. Her name is Courtney and she was in a horrible car accident quite a while ago. She is paralyzed from the waist down. Since I am involved in the planning of this show, I am getting things together to raffle off, prize give aways etc. We will be performing as well as 2 other of her favorite local bands. This is where I would like a little help from everyone here.

First...I DO NOT WANT MONEY. We have a fund raiser (singer's wife arranged) going and it is going very well.

Second....I would love to have as many of you guys/girls send me a guitar/bass pick with a "Get Well Soon" letter. That simple....just send me a pick (sign it as well if you would) and write "Get Well Soon". This simple gesture would mean a lot to her. I came up with this idea as I know how we are here with sending prayers and well wishes to each other. Do not feel committed. Only do this cause you want to. I have local musician's doing this as well and we want to give them to her.

E-mail me if you want my address to where you can send them to.

Thanks for taking the time to read this...Mods, if you need to move this elsewhere, feel free.

Thanks everyone, you guys/gals ROCK!

Koogs

EDIT: I forgot to put this in here. Courtney collects guitar picks. From the guitar gods to regular joes like me. I thought this would be cool to let her know us regular fellas are wishing her well. That is why the pick request. Sorry for strange request without clarification.

I have a lot of respesct for people that run fundraisers and try to lift the spirits of people that are going through rough times.

I was in a motorcycle accident in june that really messed me up.

Everyone.....I have been getting these picks in the mail and have been trying to answer back that I have them....I have been extremely busy out here......WE did get some good news...we found out Courtney will be able to attend the show! They (the hospital) is bringing her out just to attend so I will be giving the picks to her at the show! I don't know everyone personally (a lot of you I do though! ;) ) and I want to THANK YOU for doing this. Such a small thing like this will make her day better! You guys/gals are AWESOME! I will try to let you know via e-mail that I got the pick(s)....please bear with me if I am behind on that.
