Not having a go at anybody, but I was just wondering why the Benji Madden Signature guitar made.

BP said that (or so I've heard) would not make any guitars that aren't marketable, yet I've never seen it in any music stores, only on Musician's Friend. And IMO I don't think many people would want to spend a EBMM price for that guitar.

Not having a go at anybody, but just wondering what happened behind making this.

You say you're not having a go ... but say that you don't think it's worth the money. Sounds like picking a fight to me.

As Poppa says, lots of info in the forum if you look up some old threads.

Well, having a go would be like saying: How the hell does somebody like him get a signature guitar, GC sucks, and so on so forth.

I'm just asking if (for example) making a 12 string guitar isn't marketable, why would a guitar like that one be. I'd much rather pay good money for a 12 string guitar than a EBMMBJ guitar.

The Benjis are actually going at BELOW ebmm prices at a lot of places, if I am not wrong. Its quite a nice and purdy guitar to me, since it takes its design cue from the silo spec. But being a sig model, it is true to its form and whether it sells or not, i mean, its ebmm business. At least we have other flavorite models that we can crave over, isnt it? ;)

I actually like this model. Really like the color. Everybody gets hung up with whose name is on the headstock. I guess that's the reason it hasn't been a good seller. The sad thing is, if EBMM had of released this as a regular model or as a special edition, minus the name, everyone would go crazy for it. Especially those that don't like it only because of the guy whose name is on it.

I think it is a metal flake green. I was hunting down a Silo Spec SSS with a rosewood board on this color but was told its gone.. Yup the color is nice. Actually the inlay is nice too, but not very versatile in the tone range. So.. you get what I wanna say.
