I've had my transparent-orange stingray for a while now and I've come to love how it feels, how it sounds, and all around how it looks. The only thing that I'm lacking now is a good amp to really bring the great voice of the instrument into full range and have enough power to boot. I am looking at an amp/cab package near the price of $1300-1500 and I was wondering what some of you guys use for amps now and what you could recommend me to check out while looking for the right combination.

Gallien Krueger is very popular with ernie balls. For that price you could pick up a 1001rb-II and the cab of your choice, the NEO212 is popular.

Buy a cheap Peavey and some Peavey or Ampeg cabs for power. Buy them cheap and your EB bass will kill. Then when Markbass is available listen to BP. Get one.

GK is good too.

I guess I was just trying to say whatever is loud enough your EB bass will sound good with it and that is why there are so many choices of amps and cabs among all of us that attend this joint.

I can't help but chime in for GK as well. Great gear with great tone and all the features that you want/need in a gigging situation all at a very affordable price.
