Trace Elliot and Ashdown (their practical successor) sound EXCELLENT with StingRays. The punch from the instrument really shines through with these designs, and they have some of the best EQ's on the market today. Trace gear is going for some excellent prices on ebay these days, but I think the market is starting to pick up as people realize how good they are, and that they last a long time too.

Just seein' if you guys were on your toes or slacking off. Good on ya.

But seriously. Should I wait for the MarkBass stuff, or go ahead and get an Avatar Neo 1x12 with a compact Eden or Ampeg head?

Went very good, Tom! I actually intended for the SR5 to get two songs and the Bongo get one. (We only recorded 3 songs if you haven't caught on. :D) It was acutally vice versa. I can e-mail you the non EQed tracks with the final guitar and vocals yet to be layed down.

Bongo pics? Sure. :D

Thanks for all the advice, I was looking at the GK stuff too. What I really want is to accentuate the tone of the Stingray and bring some more fullness into the sound of it. What about some (if any) hybrid or fully tube amps out there for something round. And while I'm at it, what's the word on Ampegs, svt3pro?

Sweet pics Doc.

I see you use the UL210. Ive heard some things about that cab, regarding it not having what it takes to cut through in a band situation. Comments?

a 4 x 10 cab only weighs 57 lbs. 600 watt amp 16 lbs

Hey Guys,

It has been a minute...

Anyway I would have to second the Epifani. I will convert as soon as I can afford it. Otherwise, I would I have to stick with SWR or SWR/Ampeg setup. I am not really a fan of Ampeg's amps, just their cabinets. I prefer the SWR amps (I don't like SWR cabinets, I prefer the Ampeg bottom that comes from their cab). Pretty specific, eh?
