Just wanted to ask my fellow EBMM owners which model neck is their most favorite and most comfortable. I've owned one Axis SS and two Albert Lee's and to me the Albert Lee is absolutely perfect. I have never played any of the other models though. So just for curiosity's sake which do you like best?!

Its got to be the Axis neck, followed by the EVH profile.

Is the Axis neck different to the EVH? I've not been lucky enough to play one... I thought the only things they'd changed was the pickup selector position and the body cavity?

I really like the Luke neck at the moment, its a lot chunkier than the Axis neck and that takes a bit of getting used to. but now I've found that my hand sits "just" right. weird... but cool!

Well my red axis hard tail and purple evh hard tail feel quite different.

For a start the axis neck is a tiny bit wider than the EVH. My Axis feels a bit fatter and a bit deeper than the EVH. Not a huge amount, but enough to feel slightly different.

Also as far as I can make out the Axis neck (on mine at least) does not have the wear profile the EVH neck does.

I went ten years with one guitar, my custom Ibanez, because no other guitar had a neck that had the "feel". That is until I found a Petrucci. Best neck for me as far as feel, fit and all the extra oohhs and aahhs. I now have two of them (working on getting a third) and put the Ibanez on retirement.

I really enjoy them all, after playing my axis for awhile its refreshing to jam on the silhouette special for a bit, the albert lee is awesome as well as is the morse model and the Luke, they really dont make a bad neck, if you like the vibe of the musicman necks youll see the genuis in all of them, thats my opinion -

the silhouette special feels a bit wider on the fretboard and the profile is thinner, the axis has a bit more on the back of the neck, yet both are fast as hell and both are comfortable- I would say that the axis has more of a broken in feel, the silhouette is my main gigging axe now though, the body is sculpted perfect to me-

For me, it's the Axis neck that just works - I first time I played one it was like my hand had found it's home, and it has been like this ever since... Albert Lees are a close second...

I really only have one guitar that I have played for four years now. It is my old Sil, and it has the best neck I have ever played by far. It is from 1991, and just begs me to play it every time I see it. I really like the Albert Lee necks, and am going to get one the next time I get a guitar, but it will probably be a long time... Anyway, that is my opinion!

i've played an Axis, Sil, and a Petrucci ( obviously )

and my two favs were the Petrucci and the Axis

i chose the Petrucci because i liked the look more and it was cheaper the really nice finishes on the Axis guitars i've seen are really expensive
