Hi everyone,

I am visiting some friends in NY next month and was thinking about bringing an EBMM guitar back with me to the UK. Any suggestions on the best places to try out (and hopefully buy!!) :D EBMM guitars? Thanks!!

What in particular are you looking for? The best place would be Guitar Center on 14th Street. They stock a decent amount there, and have a decent variety right now. If you are interested in a Silgouette Special by any chance, there are two AWESOME used ones over at Sam Ash on 48th Street. One in vintage sunburst and another in a discontinued black sparkle!

Thanks Roubster!

As of now I think it is going to be either a Silo Special or an Axis Super Sport. I haven't played the AL HH though, so I might end up getting one of those instead.

Cheers

They have a few HH ALs at that Guitar Center...also they have the GC exclusive one with a coil tap. I played it and its real nice! Good luck. If you go for a Silo Special they also have the Dargie Delight 2 at the GC and that used Black Sparkle Silo Special at Sam Ash looks REALLY nice!

There are a lot of Guitar Centers in the Tri-State Area....you shouldn't have any problem getting a hold of one. Perhaps if you're willing to cross that mighty Hudson, you'll be able to nab one in Joisy for a little less coin..who knows

Why not head north on 1-91 to visit Dubaldo Music. He always has a good selection of MM, and its probable a 3 hour ride tops if you will have a car. Well worth your time, I've bought my Petruccis from Pete and couldn't be happier.

Hey guys,

Thanks a lot for the info. Much appreciated. My buddy actually leaves in Hoboken, so visiting some stores in NJ is definitely an option. I will check GC and Sam Ash and see what they have in stock. I have only read good stuff about Dubaldo, the only problem is convincing the miss to make the trip. I guess I will have to make up for that somehow if I want to go...

While I am no where near NYC, I can say try and make the trip up and see Pete and Nick at Bellers/DuBaldo Music, great guys, gear and well bet you can swing a killer deal.

Also do the Guitar Centers, and make fing sure you try one of the GC exclusive HH AL's with the secondary pull coil tap:cool:

These are some of the best EBMM has ever done, HH AL awesome, HH AL with tap extrodinary:)

The last two years I was two times in NY. At GC in 14th street they always had a good choice of EBMM guitars so that´s the first store I would try in NY.

Thanks for all suggestions! This is only my second time in NY and I didn't have a chance to visit any guitar stores during my first visit. At least now I got a decent idea of where to go. Thanks!!

Manchester is on the way to Boston so I might suggest the missus a quick stop on the way there to check Peter's stock.

Cheers
