I've heard good things about both Darkstar and Nordstrand. Give 'em a look.

Of course, don't let the fact that 5 string Dark Star pickups don't exist yet and when they do, they won't fit the string spacing of the SUB stop you.... :D

Granted, if you are looking for MORE and/or "crispier" sound, I'm not sure that replacing the pickup will do a lot to satisfy your desire other than the desire to change something on the bass. It sounds more to me like you need to play with the EQ on your amp.

I'm sniffin' Bongos.

Yeah, I have a friend who has 4 cats and 2 dogs. His house smells like animals. It must be the same thing with Bongos when you have that many in one home....

Haven't researched Darkstars. Just heard a few people say, "I love the sound of my Darkstar pup" so I just figured i'd throw that in. Like I said, i'm a teenager. I know next to nothing. :p

Andrew is one day away from graduation and a big ol BBQ party. He can't be expected to be thinking of much else right now. :)
