Question Best Selling EBMM?

Hey all, I was just curious, what's EB's top dog in the sales department? How about best selling all time? I did some searching, and couldn't easily find the info on the forum. I'm guessing it's a tight race between the Axis (including Axis SS?) and the Silhouette, but who knows...

Also, if we include our 4 and 5 string siblings, how do the basses rate in this category? The Stingray may take the top prize??
 
I would also guess Stingray. Go to a Guitar Center and compare how many 'Rays they have vs. how many JPs they carry. Plus the 'Rays have been around since the beginning.

I think the JP taps into the most fertile younger market. (younger is a relative term for us relics) It's also reasonable to think that the JP picks up its fair share of the disenchanted LP and Ib market.

Strat players, by in large, tend to be a traditional bunch, and the Silo, Silo Special and AL are not traditional in any sense. So it's largely us funky weirdos, who don't care much about convention, who appreciate the pure form and functionality of those models.

I think the Axis is a player in any demographic.

I'd guess the Luke to be the dark horse, a natural for 80's rock, but covers scads more. So I'd imagine its demos to be all over the road. Always a place for EMG's, especially if heavily processed.
 
The Bass guitars walk out the door. The JP and Luke follow them fairly quickly. They're all very popular when it comes to the crunch
 
Thanks for the input everyone. Like I say, all out of curiosity! Yeah, I tried searching, but it's difficult to get specific results using words like 'best selling ebmm guitars/basses,' or 'top selling...' The search engine doesn't even take words like best, or top for being used too often, and 'selling' takes you right to all the for sale threads. Anyways, I'm shocked! I didn't know the JP was so popular. Makes sense, it's next on my list!! Might sell the PRS to make that happen quicker. I agree on the Morse, but I'd love one of those too! Fascinating stuff!!! :D
 
I'd say (wild guess here) JP or EVH/Axis if you sum them up. Yes, the JP is highly popular in the shredders circles. It's like a cheaper Jem I guess. But we all know which one is the cheaper :rolleyes:

Seriously now, I think EBMM nailed it big time by getting JP. Big boost in brand awareness, especially in the younger market. I came to know EBMM through JP, because at that time DT was all that I knew. Then I read about the guitars, lots of reviews and articles and decided the Silo was closer to what I wanted. But I'm a picky guy, and not much young people really read reviews and stuff. Of course the JP is a killer guitar and it's reviews are all great, I just wanted a rounder neck and single coil tones plus the humbuckers.

That's for sure. It seems like the folks that have stuck with EBMM for years and years (Morse, Petrucci, Lee, Luke, Levin etc.) are really great musicians and really good people. I haven't met Petrucci personally, but by all accounts he is a great guy and seems like a solid musician to work with.

I think most of the folks can´t handle the switching. Maybe the Y2D is a better seller than the old Morse.

Including the basses I think, the Sting Ray or all basses are selling much more than the guitas, because EBMM is much more common as a bass-company

I briefly owned a Vai Universe, the black seven string with the mirrored pickguard and pyramid inlay in the body, and the JP just crushes it. I never connected with the Universe, my JPs have spoiled me from wanting any other guitar.
