Any suggestions for pickups for my H/S/H Silhouette? (made @ '99ish)

I love the tone on my EBMM Axis Sport - but like the Silhouette neck/feel better. Even though I have the H/S/H Silhouette combination...I was thinking of wiring the Silhouette like my Axis (5 way switch w/2 humbuckers).

The Silhouette currently has a JB in the bridge and '59 in the neck. Both those pickups (as well as the stock ones) don't seem to do it for me.

I play on a Marshall DSL50 -- and typically look for a good G-n-R type tone. The Axis Sport does this great (as well as a nice spanky clean tone) -- but the Silhouette just sounds 'small' and kind of 'flat' --- no spank.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Steve

hard to tell you can't compare a 24 frets guitar with a 22 frets guitar

also it's Ash against Alder so may sound close, but not exactly the same especially with the neck pickup not being at the same place

i may be bias at this point.....but i'd try some morse hummers (dp200 & dp205 dimarzio) in that puppy. i put them in clients guitars around here alot.....and they ALWAYS love them.

actually.......i'm not bias.........they sound killer !!!!! the bridge also sounds great when split, played clean and loud if your into tele style tones.

I changed mine out too. i kept the stock middle single as i liked it plus i think the versiltility of poitions 2 and 4 for cleans are so worth having a HSH over a H.

Anyway, i swapped mine out for a pair of bareknuckle rebell yells. expensive but worth it. The tone is pure hot rock and would get you into the ball park of gnr. They would have around the same output as axis pups but (IMO) clearer and more defined.
