Hello, I just got a John Petrucci BFR 7 guitar off of eBay, and of course it arrived today with the magnetic/piezo switch broken. I was wondering which type of switch this is so that I can replace it (SPDT, DPDT?). Any help would be great. Thank you!

Should be an SPDT. Basically, it just grounds either the mag or piezo signal to the preamp.
FYI, you can order them from MM - if you contact customer service they can set you up with one.

As Beej says - get one from CS - If it's the same as the JP6they have a plate on them that makes them "handed" insofar as they will only fit in the guitar in a certain orientation.

I just thought too - you will need to slacken the neck pickup as the switch cable passes through the pickup route. If you don't slacken it, the cable will not pull through.
