Out of curiosity, why were the Roasted maple turquoise pearl BFR JP6's shipped with standard MM cases instead of the BFR cases?? And are all specs for this the same as other BFR's??? (Alder body with mahogany tone block. . .)

Well a BFR can be anything and the G&G cases do not always mean the guitar is a BFR the old annual models came in those. I am assuming it came in the SKB case made for a JP, which I much prefer, my roasted JP came in the standard case.

As far as the other specs I do not know for sure, but I think they are, does yours have a push/pull pot?? If it does then it is original BFR specs.

The body of those turquoise JPs is in fact the 'standard' JP model body. The BFR designation is because of the roasted neck. BFR doesn't necessarily mean it's the alder/mahogany/nonscoop model. BFR can be put on anything EB designates as being worthy of the BFR tag. There's a thread somewhere detailing all this. Sorry, too lazy to find it now. :)
