I just put on a fresh set of 10-46 strings and set the guitar up for Drop D half step down. It's been tow hours since I set the bridge up and checked the intonation and I don't see any need to adjust my neck. In fact the only thing I had to do was slightly adjust my B string to get it perfectly intonated at the 12th and 19th fret. My neck has a *slight* relief in it which I know is normal and I have no buzz on any frets. I did the check between the 12th fret and 2nd Fret by tapping the 7th fret and it's got a business card's thickness between the low E string and the 7th fret.

According to everything I'm seeing, the guitar appears to be perfectly set up. According to my brain I should have had to add a little tension to the neck to overcome the lack of tension from the strings when I stepped it down a half step. Am I just being paranoid or is there something I am missing lol? This is my first JP6 and I want to get it set up properly and don't want to cause it to have neck problems down the road. Anyone else ever experience this because every guitar I have ever set up has had to have the neck adjusted.

Hehe I finally made a neck adjustment. Plays like a dream, I can't wait to run it into my dual rectifier this weekend!

i replaced my BFR strings too last week from 9,s to 10,s and i didnt really have to make any adjustments either except afew tweaks to the trussrod.the intonation seems to be perfect also so ididnt make any adjustments to the bridge also.
just make sure the bridge is completely flat and in line with the body.

Not unusual to not have to tinker with the tr.

However, it can vary from day to day, depending on weather, time of year etc. . .

In fact, I always tune my guitar according to the weather, i.e., if I'm doing a gig that night and I put on fresh strings in the afternoon, I'll stretch them out completely, then I will tune flat a few cents, because as evening draws near (and the temperature drops) the strings will go "sharp" slightly, and I'll be at perfect tuning when I take the guitar out of my case.

The same holds true for the opposite.

I hardly ever adjust my tr on my Axis, the neck is perfectly straight as well as the trem being perfectly level all the time.:)
