The neck is mahogany and like all BFR has the mahog tone block.

Is the back of that neck finished?

Yeas it is a finished neck but silky smooth.

Curious what shop you contacted that was still selling one? It was my understanding that these were only available through the Private Reserve site.

It was simple to get this guitar. Originally they were only available through Private Reserve Guitars, but since thsy all did not sell right away they then listed them on Musicians Friend adn Guitar Center.com.

I called GC and used my Preferred Player Card to get no interest financing and a green tag coupon for 10%, this deal only runs through the end of March.

Alright had this for a day now and all I can tell you is grab one while you can, just plays like a dream, sounds like heaven and well looks fantastic, if I had the funds I would snag the hardtail. SO DO IT

I just ordered the hardtail, same as you w/12 month no interest on my GC card. My wife is GONNA KILL ME, OMG. I just bought a TB Axis SS from GC last week but I have to return it to pay this one off! Also upgraded to next day ship for $20. Will post pics when I get it!

Alright Steve, way to go, man you wont regret it, my main concern was the finished neck but not a problem it is so easy to play, i bought a TB ASS from GC in January and am selling it as well to help pay for this but Sooo worth it congrats man, lets see the pics when it gets to you

I was looking at these 2 weeks ago, and they have been available for a while now. 2 weeks ago there were two of each still available and i wanted one then but figured I would wait a while and decide. Then I saw your post and noticed there were now 1 of each left. I had a hard time deciding between the hardtail and trem but went with the hardtail. One left and I suspect it will go fast now as it is THE LAST ONE of the 6!

Wow when I found them still available it was 2 trem, 1 hardtail, decided to get trem based on the fact i have another ASS on the way and it is a hardtail, man glad someone else is getting this on the forum

Private Reserve shipped mine today for delivery tomorrow. Ill have pics sometime tomorrow evening! I also got the 10% off by telling the guy at PR that GC has a green tag sale. He refunded 10% of the price back to my card. I cant wait to get it!

Only one thing that bugs me. It still shows IN STOCK on their website. Serial# and all. Hope they sent the right guitar!

Dont worry mine stayed on the website for 3 days, they are slow to update as explained to me it is a 48 hour wait then once it ships they remove it.
