Wow Mynan you need glasses my friend...usually I prefer the burst Koa but the regular tops are the best Ive ever seen. BTW there is no more cutting down of KOA in hawaii so these will only become rarer and rarer

That may be true. I can tell the difference, but it's not nearly as obvious as the difference between your standard "natural" and "tobacco burst" I hadn't seen these pics before and when I read "tobacco burst", I guess I was expecting a more traditional burst progressing from lighter in the middle to darker on the outside.

They're both really nice. The natural tops are a great color and have an almost soothing appeal. The texture of the grain and the contrast on the burst tops is amazing...but what do I know? I probably need glasses.

Look for pirated Koa tree copies to come out on the Chinese market soon. We'll need a host of horticulturists on the case.
